What are we doing?

We share our knowledge of bicycle repair and help people repair their bicycles independently!

Since 2022, our volunteers have been offering opportunities for people to learn how to fix bicycles. It is student-led and completely free of charge, making it easy for students to drop by, learn about bicycles, and socialise.

Our main workshop locations are spread across three TUM campuses: the main campus in Munich, Garching, and Freising. Additionally, we sometimes organise workshops in collaboration with the LMU and Bellevue di Monaco, with the help of Radkeller. Workshops are normally organised on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, usually in the afternoon. We also try to organise events where we teach people the most commonly needed bicycle-fixing skills, such as repairing a flat tire and adjusting gear shifting.

In addition to our main activities, we have a community where people can ask for a group ride freely! Sometimes we participate in public events such as Sternfahrt and critical mass as ReparadTUM.

You don’t need to be an expert on bicycles. All you need is motivation! Anyone with motivation is welcome to join and gain knowledge through our activities.

Through ReparadTUM, we want to bring cycling to the awareness of students and employees and create an incentive to use bicycles in everyday life. In addition, roadworthy and functional bicycles contribute to safe road traffic. With our project, we want to be an inspiration for green mobility and shape the Garching campus with a sustainable project.

Who are we?

We are a young bike enthusiastic team and we want to make a change on campus with a sustainable and solidarity project. Some of us are already repair “professionals” and others have no idea about it (yet) 😉 – Everyone is welcome to join us.

Interested?

If you want to join us in this project, there are various possibilities in our different teams. Whether
you have time during the whole semester or only occasionally, whether you like to screw things
together or prefer to organize, whether you are based in the city centre or more in Garching – we are happy about every new team member! Just get in touch with us, we are looking forward meeting you! 🙂
